Privacy Policy & Data Protection Notice
Current information on how AircraftTechNetwork processes membership, profile, security and learning data.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Controller and contact
For personal-data matters relating to AircraftTechNetwork platform operations, contact contact@aircrafttechnetwork.com. The platform founder and operator is Deniz Burak Öztunalı. This notice is structured around transparency requirements under applicable data-protection law, including GDPR principles where applicable.
2. Data categories
Required membership data includes first name, last name, email address, country and authentication/session information. Users may voluntarily add a phone number, profile photo, employer, job title, experience, licence information, aircraft types, education and study goals. As the exam center develops, practice results, module progress, saved questions and similar learning activity may be associated with the account. Technical security data may include IP address, browser information, timestamps and request logs.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Data is used to create and verify accounts, secure sessions, manage profiles, provide exam/learning progress, answer support requests, improve the service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Required data is processed where necessary to provide the service and perform the user agreement, comply with legal duties, and protect legitimate security interests. Separate processing that legally requires consent will be requested separately and clearly; marketing consent is not bundled into account creation.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies
Public pages may use analytics tools to measure site performance and usage trends, and advertising technologies where ads are served. These services may process device/browser identifiers, approximate location, IP address, page interactions and similar technical data. Where applicable law requires it, user choice or consent should be obtained for non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Required membership acknowledgements do not constitute consent to marketing or behavioral advertising.
5. Data minimisation and optional fields
Only core account data is mandatory during registration. Phone, professional and education information is optional. Leaving optional fields blank does not prevent use of core membership features.
6. Recipients and service providers
Data may be shared only with hosting, CDN/security, authentication/database, email-delivery and similar technical providers required to operate the platform, and with competent authorities where legally required. Provider infrastructure may be located in different countries. Applicable transfer mechanisms and safeguards are used where required by law.
7. Retention
Account and profile data is retained while the account remains active and as long as necessary for stated purposes. Security, dispute and legally required records may be retained for applicable periods. When the purpose ends, data is deleted, anonymized or access-restricted as appropriate.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data and complain to a competent supervisory authority. Requests may be sent to contact@aircrafttechnetwork.com; reasonable identity-verification information may be requested.
9. Security
Authentication is handled through Supabase-based membership infrastructure and verification emails may be sent through authorized email-delivery infrastructure. Passwords are not stored in the site source code. HTTPS, session tokens and access controls are used for account access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so unique and strong passwords are recommended.
10. Profile photo and visibility
Adding a profile photo is optional. If no photo is uploaded, the interface shows an initials-based avatar. In this release profile information is not published as a public member directory. If public profiles are introduced later, separate visibility controls will be provided.
11. Updates
This policy may be updated as membership, exam or infrastructure features evolve. Material changes will update the effective date and users will be notified where appropriate.
