Technical English for Aviation

Maintenance vocabulary, defect wording and a simple trainer for clear technical communication.

01

The goal of technical English: clear, unambiguous communication

Aircraft maintenance English is not about complex sentences. The goal is to describe the defect, location, condition, maintenance action and result clearly. Practise defect wording, component location, condition and maintenance-action vocabulary together.

02

Stay aligned with approved terminology

For real records, terminology used in applicable maintenance data and company procedures takes priority. Verify the standard term instead of inventing a different expression for the same condition.

03

Technical English in interviews

Keep answers concise, technical and safety-focused. If you do not know a procedure, do not guess; explain that you would verify the applicable approved data and work within your authorization.
